My research activities focus on the identification and characterization of resistance loci to pests and pathogens in tomato (late blight, powdery mildew, Botrytis, leaf miner, and bacterial wilt), as well as on the mapping of loci involved in tomato responses to plant resistance inducers (PRIs). To achieve this, I develop mapping populations derived from interspecific crosses between cultivated tomato and related wild species. I also develop molecular markers suitable for breeding applications. I co-coordinate the Cap Zéro Phyto project (https://www.cultiver-proteger-autrement.fr/eng/projects/capzerophyto), which aims to propose new crop protection strategies based on the combined use of immune-based approaches, including genetic resistance and the application of PRIs. I teach plant breeding to Master's students in Plant Sciences (M1 SDPV) at Avignon University.
