Functions - Thematic Research

Support technician for the molecular biology experiments in the research group "Diversity, Quality and Environment at the Tomato", my missions fit into two lines of research :
 
1.      the characterization of genetic resources to assess the phenotypic and molecular diversity
2.      the analysis of genetic and physiological mechanisms that determine the components of fruit quality

Biochemical and microbiologic analyses in human health (viral particles detection, oncomarkers detection)

Diagnosis and detection in microbiobiology in hospital (AIDS, hepatitis on liver samples, childhood virology) using molecular and cellular biology

• Nucleic acids extraction (DNA/RNA) and their quantitation :

  Bioanalyzer 2100 (Capillar Electrophoresis)

  Qubit 3.0 (Fluorimeter)

• High-Throughput Sequencing library preparation

• Characterisation of genic products of interest

  Q-RT-QPCR design and analysis

  Genotyping : SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism), SSR (Simple Sequence Repeats)

  Sanger Sequencing

  Long Range PCR

• Gateway cloning  to conduct RNAi (culture and transformation of E. coli by thermic shock)

Bio-analysis :

• Bioinformatic analysis of genomic and transcriptomic data through the use of dedicated software (CLC Genomics Workbench, GALAXY) : quality control cleaning of the data, mapping on reference genome, variant calling, workflows development
• Primer design, BLAST search, multiple sequence alignments, SNP genotyping data analysis (Genome Studio), SSR genotyping (Gene Mapper)
