POTYMOVE (2017 - 2023)

Host factors involved in potyvirus cell-to-cell movement: new sources of resistance ?

The Potymove project, funded for 4 years by the ANR (2017-2020), aims at characterizing in plants a new class of resistance genes based on the investigation of virus movement within the plant. It should provide the breeders with new genetic resistances, reinforcing the already well-characterized translation initiation factors, and participate to reducing the use of pesticide in crop cultures.

Part of this work at INRA-GAFLwill be carried out by Anna Bastet, in the frame of her thesis at Aix MArseille University, funded by a MENRT grant (2015-2018).
